Dreams really do come true says Lisa Brody of the new state-of-the-art pickleball facility, Pickle Juice, which is located at the newly renovated Ventnor Plaza.
Her pickleball journey began seven years ago when she got the fever for the sport, just like the rest of the nation. Lisa would play hours each day and sometimes twice a day, meeting new people each time. She would stop briefly and grab a smoothie or juice and go right back to the courts.
She would ask family and friends if they had heard about pickleball, and she would tell everybody she knew that pickleball was extremely fun and social. A game for all ages, it is the fastest growing sport in America, growing at about 40 percent per year. It is easy to learn and to teach others.
After her first summer of playing pickleball, Lisa searched for indoor courts, but she could not find any. That’s when she realized there was a real need locally for indoor courts – a place inside that could bring the outdoors in.
The combination of these interests created the concept of Pickle Juice. Her vision has now been transformed into a reality.
Pickle Juice recently opened its doors in Ventnor Plaza, 5100 Wellington Ave., offering a unique social environment where people of all ages can come in and feel comfortable. They have a fantastic juice bar with fresh juices, smoothies, and smoothie bowls. They have a well-stocked pro shop and exceptional pickleball courts.
Pickle Juice is a place where players can not only enjoy the game, but also build a community and friendships.
The new 17,000-square-foot installation features five acrylic courts with various membership packages to fit everybody’s needs.
Whether you are a beginner or someone who just wants to improve your game, Pickle Juice has some of the best instructors around to help you achieve your goals, offering private and group lessons.
There is something for every ability and interest. They have open and tournament play for those who want to step up to experience a higher level of competition. Their goal is to make all people feel welcomed the minute they walk in the door.
If you are an organization, you might want to plan a fundraiser event there. What a great way to have fun and raise money or create a team-building experience.
