The Ocean City Boardwalk Merchants are kicking off the spring season with their first annual job fair this Friday, March 24 from 3-5pm and Saturday, March 25 from 9am-Noon at Manco and Manco Pizza at 9th and the Boardwalk.
“Businesses in Ocean City are looking for qualified employees to help run their business and to give valued customers and vacationers the Ocean City experience they relish and have grown accustomed to year after year,” said Manco and Manco Pizza owner Chuck Bangle. “Since there is no “I” in team, having multiple businesses under one roof gives potential employees several options to find the job that best suits their needs. It also gives all participating employers a chance to exchange ideas and share other suggestions to attract staff members and to plan and improve the next job fair.”
Nearly 20 Ocean City Boardwalk businesses will be at Manco and Manco’s flagship store for open interviews for job seekers age 14 and older; making it easy for anyone who wants to work alongside the Atlantic Ocean this summer and fall. As a bonus, every applicant will get a free slice of Manco pizza and a soda.
“Having many of the most iconic businesses in town all together is an excellent opportunity for both the business owners and potential employees to find the best fit for all. Staffing is always a challenge, so we have to try new ways to find help. This is a great idea, and all the credit goes to Chuck Bangle and the Manco family for thinking outside the box and making this happen on the fly,” said Wes Kazmarck, president of the Boardwalk Merchants Association and owner of Surf Mall.
The Ocean City Boardwalk businesses attending the job fair are Manco and Manco Pizza, Surf Mall, OC Waterpark, Johnson’s Popcorn, Sweetheart Coast, Auntie Anne’s, Cinnabon, Ben & Jerry’s, Exit 4 Escape Rooms, Playland’s Castaway Cove, Prep’s Pizzeria, Dairy Queen, Seaside Go-Karts, Pirate Island, Haunted Golf, Frenchy’s, OC Escape, Encounters, Congo Falls, and Gillian’s Wonderland Pier.
