Former Press of AC Building Becomes Entrepreneurship and Technology Hub Ideal Institute of Technology (IITNJ) broke ground today on an entrepreneurship and technology hub expansion on the property of the former Press of Atlantic City building. The $4 million project will add three IITNJ education initiatives: Advanced Manufacturing, Aquaphonics/Agrotech Research, and Testing Center. The new IITNJ Entrepreneurship and Technology Hub will stand as a state-of-the-art facility that will bring together the best and the brightest minds from across the region to collaborate on new projects and ideas. It will provide students, faculty, and industry professionals with access to the latest technologies, resources, and networks that will help spur innovation and creativity. The new hub will combine a variety of spaces, including: An existing 30,000-square-foot facility, where Ideal will establish itself in its new community as an Entrepreneurship and Technology Hub.A 15,000-square-foot space that will house the Business Accelerator and Incubator program, and will be launched as the Ideal YES Accelerator School. A ribbon cutting is scheduled for July. A 14,000-square-foot School of Advanced Manufacturing will be established. A 14,000-square-foot School of Aquaponics will be introduced during the year for green house research and training in Aggrotech. Plans are underway to strengthen IITNJ’s veterans’ program and bring more opportunities to veterans.The HUB will also provide students with access to industry-leading software and equipment, as well as opportunities to network with leading industry professionals.“We are thrilled to be breaking ground on these new initiatives and hope to become a magnet for creating a national model,” says Ren Parikh, founder of IITNJ. “We want this campus to become a leading destination for entrepreneurship and technology.” The broad economic impact of a technology innovation hub in Pleasantville will have far reaching benefits for Pleasantville and surrounding communities.
