We are looking forward to a morning of fun and frolic on the 16th and 17th Street beaches in front of the Municipal Pavilion and Brigantine Beach Lifeguard Headquarters.
- Festivities begin at 10:00 with music, dancers, food trucks and BearWear.
- Beach permits for 4×4 vehicles are waived during the beach festivities till 1pm. Entrances are on 12th Street South and 38th.
- Veterans Ceremony at 11:00 which includes Absecon Color Guard, Coast Guard, VFW and American Legion Riders.
- Fisher House presentations from the major sponsors follow which include National Van Lines, Jolly Roger, Root 24, American Legion Riders, ARMOR and the Ryan Rehill Scholarship Foundation.
- The amazing/colorful Costume Contest Parade will follow at 10:15 and will surely entertain you. Group and Individual 1st, 2nd and 3rd Winners will be announced on the stage before the Plunge.
- PLUNGE AT NOON with a GUN Salute by Absecon Color Guard. Watch as 2,000+ Plungers brave the 42-degree Ocean!
- 50/50 winners announced at 1:00 at the VFW o 31st Street between Revere and Bayshore Drives.
- Post-Plunge Parties are scheduled around town at the various establishments so look for their advertising on Facebook and in the Brigantine Times.
For the past 21 years, the Brigantine Community has raised over $950,000 for Fisher House which Is one of the top non-profits in the country. This amazing charity returns 97% of the funds they receive to the soldiers and families with almost 100 Fisher Houses built in the United States and Europe.
Our community rallies around this event bringing 5000 participants and spectators. Part of our fundraising includes the prior sale of BearWear–hoodies, t-shirts, sweatpants, and crazy hats and are available at the VFW on 31st Street and Riptide Bait and Tackle.
