Absecon Lighthouse Celebrates 166 Years

Free Climbs for Kids (12 & under) and “Two-4-One” Adult Climbs on Saturday, Jan. 14 and Sunday, Jan. 15

Absecon Lighthouse, New Jersey’s tallest and the country’s third tallest masonry light, is celebrating the 166th anniversary of the lighting of its historic first-order Fresnel Lens, first lit on January 15, 1857.  To celebrate, kids 12 & under are invited to climb FREE with adults, who will be treated to a “2-4-the price of 1” climbing fee for the weekend!  In case you can’t make it, join us for a “Facebook Live” Climb at 1:30pm on Sunday, 1/15, www.facebook/AbseconLight.com  Sit back and relax while you pretend to climb a lighthouse!   In honor of Atlantic City’s beloved oldest structure, we are accepting donations to keep this iconic light shining, to be mailed to 31 S. Absecon Lighthouse is a state-owned historic property administered by the non-profit Inlet Public/Private Association.  Located at 31 So.
