When Hermia’s father forbids her from marrying her love, Lysander, they run to the forest to make their escape. Demetrius, the man Hermia’s father has arranged for her to marry, and Helena, a woman desperately trying to win the affection of Demetruis, follow the pair into the forest. Hilarity and misfortune ensue when Oberon, the King of the Forest, meddles in the lovers’ troubles while enacting his own revenge on Titania, the Queen of the Forest. Under the direction of theatre director, Mr. John Stephan, this production features a cast of 31 Cedar Creek students: Abby Bauman, Katherine Beaulieu, Kacie Burnett, Gabriella Catalina, Rylee Cohen, MacKenzie Cordery, McKenzie Finn, Danyelle Foye, Francesca Franzosi, Lex Gall, Matthew Goodrich, Alp Gul, Samantha Hassa, Kyle Heck, Ash Hultquist, Keniyah Johnson, Joshua Levine, Grace Long, Ben Lord, Emma Mazanek, Madison Plummer, Arjun Sarkar, Sonia Senn, Emily Simmons, Mia Simone, Maanya Suneja, Mackenzie Sutton, Evan Theoharis, Lydia Vogel, Kailey Wagner, and Ian Wells. This production features an additional 15 students working behind the scenes: Ez Aywlin, Ryann Aylwin, Anna Darpino, Jaclyn Dulski, Vega Figarola, Christina Franzen, Bailey Kurtz, Giavana Mauceri, Kenya McReynolds, Ashley Ponzetti, Enzo Simmons, Alora Smith, Carley Thompson, Presley Thurlow, Carter Wilson. This cast and crew is supported by Producer and Business Manager, Paula Londono, along with the design talents of Stephen Menard as the scenic designer, Mary Boner as the head scenic artist, Tim Boner and Wayne Wriggins as the scenic fabricators, Annie Tinsley as the costumer, and Tyler Daddario as the lighting designer.
Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be performed on November 17th at 6:30pm, November 18th at 6:30pm, and November 19th at 1pm in the Dr. Adam C. Pfeffer Performing Arts Center at Cedar Creek High School.
