EHT students create unique holiday ornaments and trays to fund future scholarships

This holiday season, 19 students from Egg Harbor Township High School, who are learning advanced manufacturing at Ideal Institute of Technology, are creating a beautiful line of holiday ornaments and trays for Ideal’s Spend with Purpose Initiative. The ornaments and trays, made from woodworking and CNC machine operations, are being made at Ideal’s facility at 121-123 South Main Street in Pleasantville and being sold on Etsy.  Proceeds from the sales will go towards funding future scholarships for students seeking career training in advanced manufacturing.

“The partnership between Ideal and EHT High School for seniors to experience work-based learning for advanced manufacturing careers is just beginning and we are looking forward to extending these opportunities to all the high schools in South Jersey,” says Ren Parikh, Founder of Ideal Institute of Technology.

Ideal Institute of Technology presents its Spend with Purpose Initiative each holiday season, selling gift cards that can be used to support all of their student enterprises, from graphic design services to the WE ARE AC Food Truck. This year, physical goods like holiday ornaments and trays are part of the initiative.
